Life's a Quilt: October 2011
http://lifesaquilt.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 28, 2011. But at least my sewing machine is practicing for the next quilting project! The skirt is for a Grease. Themed party this Saturday. I think I was a 50s girl for Halloween once upon a time, too! Friday, October 21, 2011. Once again, it's been far too long since I've blogged. Even worse, I haven't announced the winner of my 5 year blogging anniversary give-away winner! I will have the mini-quilt in the mail by the end of next week! Here is the label I attached to the quilt:.

Where's Michi??: New Year, New Life
http://wheresmichi.blogspot.com/2010/01/new-year-new-life.html
That's a really good question. Sunday, January 17, 2010. New Year, New Life. It's been nearly a year to the day since I have posted anything here, and it's incredibly difficult to figure out where to begin. So much has happened, so much has changed. Too much to try to cram into one little post, but I'm sure my story will come out a little at a time as I settle back into a routine. I am attempting, along with a few friends, to knit 10 pair of mittens in 2010. Since I last wrote I have changed servers on t...

Life's a Quilt: July 2011
http://lifesaquilt.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Running Out of Fabric. Well, I'm not really. Running out of fabric, but I am running out of fabric for this project. I have 25 6x6 squares now, but hope to enlarge it to 7x7 (making a total of 84"x84"). I'm thinking of starting another project with 2"x2" squares in the meantime. Monday, July 25, 2011. Saturday, July 23, 2011. I posted a photo. Thursday, July 21, 2011. I've decided to join the 36-patch quilt-a-long. Wednesday, July 20, 2011. I added the two rows of 9.5" finishe...

Life's a Quilt

Monday, April 09, 2012. Finn Quilt in Vaasa. March 23-25, Finn Quilt. Held its annual event in Vaasa with the theme Energy! It's taken me too long to post these photos! Three local groups acted as hosts, making for lots of work hanging quilts up, taking them down, and doing lots of other behind-the-scenes work. It was all worth it, though, and people from all over Finland (about 300 participants, plus the public who were able to come to see the quilts on Sunday afternoon) seemed pleased with the event.

Where's Michi??: January 2010
http://wheresmichi.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
That's a really good question. Tuesday, January 19, 2010. My own Julie/Julia moment. Tonight I made Poulet Poele a l'Estragon. Casserole-roasted chicken with tarragon, with mushroom stuffing) out of Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking. I cook a lot, and I generally consider myself a pretty decent cook, but this recipe. seriously, was out of this world. As you do when hoping against hope for a little miracle, and perhaps a photo.) and guess what popped up? The Julie/Julia Project blog. It's ...

Monday, January 31, 2011. Another Marinating Project Resurfaces. Back in the fall of 2007 I started another quilt using Tonya's letters. A quilt of all the places I've lived. I've posted some photos. But here is the latest place name:. Sunday, January 30, 2011. One of My Favorite Bloggers. I was very excited to receive both in the mail this week and am using the occasion to finally get back to sewing again! I'll dedicate a post to each of them this week. Monday, January 10, 2011. Life's a Quilt: August 2011
http://lifesaquilt.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 27, 2011. Celebrating 5 Years of Blogging! I have been quite inconsistent over these five years - lots of posts, then radio silence - but it's always been fun. Learning to knit and crochet has taken time away from quilting a bit, but I'm glad to have completed two large projects this summer, mostly made of fabric I had in my stash. I'm hoping to finish a few more large projects before the end of the year. The only way to improve is to practice! Tuesday, August 23, 2011. And a little new ...

Life's a Quilt: A Colorful Weekend
http://lifesaquilt.blogspot.com/2012/02/colorful-weekend.html
Monday, February 20, 2012. Despite some very grey and windy weather (and a little snow), I had a colorful weekend! I met with two friends to have an indoor knitnic (we started the tradition last summer). The 48 squares for the first of our three collaborative afghans are finished and ready to be crocheted together! You can read more about our projects here. My feline visitor is also back - and caught the mouse that had been plaguing my apartment. Good boy! 2/20/12, 12:54 PM. Love will do the stitching if...
