ve3vvf: Tower Up
http://ve3vvfqrp.blogspot.com/2016/09/tower-up_25.html
QRP and Other Ramblings. Sunday, 25 September 2016. Now all that's left is to install the pulley on the tower where I'm going to feed the rope for one end of my fan dipole from. I may, now that I have the real estate, try an inverted L or something like that for 80M or 160M. It's time to get that done now before it gets too cold. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). ve3vvf: April 2015
http://ve3vvfqrp.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
QRP and Other Ramblings. Wednesday, 29 April 2015. Received Some Great Instruction (Not Radio Related). This past weekend I had the rare opportunity to receive some piping instruction from 3 of the world's top pipers. I attended a workshop in Peterborough, ON for pipers and drummers. The 3 piping instructors were 8-time winner of the Glenfiddich Piping Championships. We got to watch about 2/3 of the DVD before our time was up at the venue but from what I saw it was a great production. On the second day o...

ve3vvf: August 2016

QRP and Other Ramblings. Tuesday, 30 August 2016. This is the main reason for this method of extraction which doesn't kill any of the bats. Monday, 29 August 2016. I was out combing some of the area's antique shops with my better half on Sunday looking for anything BUT ham radio related items when I stumbled upon a boat anchor. As soon as I saw the name Hallicrafters I got all excited. I didn't know what the S-38 was but I knew that at the price of $15 it was worth a gamble. Wednesday, 24 August 2016.

ve3vvf: September 2015
http://ve3vvfqrp.blogspot.com/2015_09_01_archive.html
QRP and Other Ramblings. Friday, 11 September 2015. The Off-Season is so Short. Just when I was getting used to a slight lull in piping events be it from parades, concerts, Highland games, band practice or lessons the time has come where the lessons start up again and band practices are not too far behind them. I have been taking my lessons at the Glengarry School of Piping and Drumming. Another thing I want to share is a blog post from blog portion of the Pipes Drums. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Ham Rad...

ve3vvf: Make the time
http://ve3vvfqrp.blogspot.com/2016/08/make-time.html
QRP and Other Ramblings. Wednesday, 24 August 2016. Wow I haven't posted since February! Repeater from my place with just 50W. I'm looking forward to getting my first contacts from the new QTH so I really should get going on it. I think the best plan is to take a week off in October and get it all sorted out. As I've learned over the years, it's not about finding time for this hobby.it's about MAKING time for this hobby. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. QRP Blogs I Follow.

QRP and Other Ramblings. Tuesday, 11 August 2015. Antenna Analyzer Update / Syracuse Competition Result. The Central New York Highland Games and Scottish Festival. Was a great time as usual. The shopping was good, the weather was great, the crowd was appreciative and we had a good play. There were 6 grade 5 bands competing and we tied for first place. When this happens the "Ensemble" score is compared and because the Finger Lakes Pipe Band. I feel a lot better knowing we can play well when we are focused.
