I found this in my draft box and wanted to remember it so it's getting posted months afters I wrote it. 1 Yesterday we had a fire whip through an area just west of our house. We could see the billowing smoke and red glow of the fire from our window. The city put our area on evacuation preparation notice. Just to catch you up with the most exciting thing that has been happening to us.our basement flooded over Memorial Day weekend! We came home to find the whole basement in water. When you stepped on the carpet the water came up to your ankles. I stopped halfway down the stairs and just stared! I just know it is going to take all summer, and that's what's frustrating. Oh well!

I realized this was probably the last year that Nolan would still want to hang out with us on such an occasion, with him turning 14 this year I knew that he would ring in 2014 with his friends at the Stake Dance.
